For returning users of Trifacta, you may have noticed a change in your usual workflow. Our latest version introduces the new Flow View, which features updated visuals and new functionality.

Improved flow visuals

The new Flow View improves the user experience when working within the flow view and enhances the ability to organize, annotate, visualize and customize flows.

We have a redesigned canvas to show the connections of sources, recipes, and outputs, making it easier to understand the flow of your data from end to end. The new interface turns reference datasets and outputs into standalone nodes on the canvas rather than being bound to a recipe. This has been a much-requested enhancement and gives more visibility into the exact process of a flow.

New flow interactions

The new flow canvas allows users to customize their flows with all-new interactions. Features include:

  • Drag and drop datasets, recipes, and outputs to rearrange the flow to help with organization.

  • Toggle zoom levels

  • Pan around the canvas

  • Add comments and annotations within the flow canvas

  • Select multiple nodes with command/ctrl + drag or command/ctrl + clicking multiple nodes.

  • Create joins and unions from the canvas
